Dusk till Dawn Photo Expedition by Ambar Gomez

The night began after a nap during the day, which let me tell you in a city as busy as London is not very easy. Nevertheless, at ten o’clock I woke up and it was finally dark. We all headed out to photograph the city which we had all become familiar with during the day.

Although most of the shops, pubs & restaurants had been closed for sometime there were still plenty of people walking the streets. Five minutes into our walk it began to rain, which normally would have been a bad thing but this night, it became a blessing in disguise. The roads and sidewalks suddenly all lit up!

As we continued to walk, we came across areas of the city where only in the comfort of the night did these places seem to reveal themselves…

We saw London nightlife in all its glory, friends going out for drinks, people catching late-night munchies, couples flirting. As the night went on and we went on with our walk, something started to happen, the city grew silent. We saw people less and less. The city slept, and all that was left were the rain covered streets of London. It then became a race against the sun that began to peek through the night clouds. I knew that once I saw the skies colors began to brighten that the night was gone, and so would the quiet of the night.
