Letterpress by Ambar Gomez

The letterpress workshop was amazing expierence. I wish we could have spent an extra two weeks just doing letterpress alone. All of the control you have on a computer is thrown out the window, and you’re left with your intuition and imagination to design.

The three days seemed to have flown by, the first two days Liz and I exhausted ourselves putting together the most tedious and heavy set-up imaginable. But after hours and hours of moving and re-adjusting each tiny square this “labor of love” payed off, we were really proud of the end result.

By the third day, it was a race against time to try and play and try out as many things possible before the day ended. The possibilities seem endless, and making mistakes seem to only make things more interesting.

I can’t wait to someday get my hands on a letterpress again.
